Other fantastic view from the magical night 19/20 January 2015 at La Silla Observatory. This one is even more symbolic than others, because it shows Danish telescope, which use even Czech observers as members od European Southern Observatory. And even if I didn’t know, this was the case. While I was capturing the segments for this panoramatic mosaic, my friend and famous Czech astronomer Kamil Hornoch observed some asteroid by the telescope from his office in Czech Republic. What a coincinence… On the left part you can see the southern part of the Milky way with the Southern Cross and Magellanic clouds. The right part shows strong redish and green airglow structured to gravitional waves. Those structures were just above the far storm producing the red sprites. Used Canon 6D Baader IR Mod, Samyang 24 mm, f2,8, ISO 10000, 42×15 s panorama, tripod.
