Is there still a time for swimming?
What a wild night on July 7/8, 2015! Very strong thunderstorm was about coming over the
Seč reservoir, so I was so excited to enjoy the last hot minutes in the natural “tub” before the storm brought even very perceptible chill. Well, the storm was faster, unfortunately. But I put my camera just on the beach and made a portrait of myself just before the show started fully. The flashing was everywhere and its cadence was higher than in all the catastrophic Hollywood movies I have ever seen. Just wonderful and exciting in one moment.
Serious note: The image is, of course, multi-exposure. I am not that crazy to stay in the water during such strong storm (even if the lake probably had never been hit by any flash due to it’s location in lower valley, surrounded by higher hills). So this dramatic view is, actually, 7-minutes long record. Used Canon 6D IR Baader Mod, Samyang 15 mm, f3.5-4.5, ISO 2500-200, 14×30 s; tripod.
