Inhabitation of the Galaxy

Inhabitation of the Galaxy

Inhabitation of the Galaxy

Sometimes there are a views, which make you think about how lucky and fragile in the same time we are. This view, captured on 12th June 2015 late night, shows my cottage close to the Seč reservoir against the Milky way – the starry island we all live in. How far the stars are and how huge is the island. So so much. And we are here – living on our planet, lonely or not, so far from all the stars up above. Walking on the ground, heating our apartments, building our homes in a cold times, staring up or using the energy of our planet. We are still the only known inhabitants of the Galaxy and very often forget our role – to live and thank to the nature that we have this treasure called “the Earth” by our own. Those views make us more modest, more grateful and, hopefully, more considerate… Used Canon 6D IR Baader Mod, Samyang 14 mm, f3.5, ISO 10000, 67×20 s + darkframes applied, tripod.
