Calm oversleeping in Tsubes
Deep in northwest Namibia lies a small village Tsubes, not so far from legendary
Pertfied forests. If you decide to stay the overnight, you can bet on one of the calmest experience in your life. The place is just magnificently quiet, far from all cities and wild animals either. There’s almost no civilization, but only one beautiful campsite with tempting overhangs and showers without a roof to enjoy the night sky. When I spent there the night on September 20th, 2015, it felt so peaceful. As I woke up after the midnight, the
Orion constellation was up above the horizon with the
“dog star” Sirius as well. But the most impressive were both
Magellanic clouds, silently guarding the magic of the night. Used Canon 6D IR Baader modified, Samyang 24 mm, f2.0, ISO 10000, 80×15 second panorama.
