Today, on October 31st, 2020, the second Full Moon in the same month appeared in the sky. In folklore, this is called “blue moon” (as it occurs “once in a blue moon”). Of course, Moon itself was not blue so far, however, I made it happen to capture it during the so-called “blue hour” when dusk progresses and the sky in the opposite way is dark blue. In the foreground, you can spot pretty famous Spiš Castle of Slovakia, one of UNESCO’s World Heritage, slightly illuminated by dusk colors or so-called “alpenglow“. Again the “blue moon” occurs in August 2023. Used Canon 6D, Tamron 70-200mm@173mm, f4.5, ISO 250, 1/3s (castle) and 11×1/160s (Moon).
