Desert eclipse

Desert eclipse

Desert eclipse

The last remarkable eclipse in the world occured in September 2015. The spectacular total lunar eclipse was visible from Europe, Africa and the US as well. I was so lucky to enjoy it from Sesriem, Namibia, over the Namib desert. I still cannot forget the last moments of this, during partial phase, as the full Moon was also closest to the Earth in the full Moon phase in whole year 2015, producing “bloody supermoon“. Watching that from one of the driest places in the world was really unique experience. Now I hope the next new Moon will produce even more spectacular celestial show in Indonesia, as the total solar eclipse on 9th March 2016 is the very next world eclipse. Wish you all, who plan to travel in path of totality, great weather! Used Canon 6D Baader IR Modified, Pentacon 135 mm, f2.8, ISO1600, 1/6 s, 1/30 s and 1/350 s, tripod.
