Armstrong’s Full Moon over Brno
On Wednesday
July 20, 2016, the mankind celebrated 47th anniversary of the moment when
first man walked on the Moon. The legendary
mission Apollo 11 with
Neil Armstrong,
Edwin Aldrin and
Michael Collins changed the world when their mission succeeded. The anniversary was special with the Moon phase, almost
full Moon. This special day I spent in Czech
Brno city, where the celebration was really big. Organized by the worldly reputable educational center
Brno observatory and planetarium, thousands of people were witnessed by amazing program containing astronomical and cultural events. People were observing the Moon by telescopes, enjoying fulldome shows, swimming in the close pool by the Moon and enjoying fantastic night-light
performances of Czech national and
Olympics representation of Aquabelles. While enjoying all of that, I could see the rising Moon over the city with the majesic
Špilberk castle of 14th century in the foreground. Used Canon 6D Baader IR modified, Tamron 70-300 mm @300 mm, 15x1s panorama + HDR of the Moon, f5.6, from tripod.
