Twelve minutes before…

Twelve minutes before…

On Saturday Feb. 11th, 2017, the penubral lunar eclipse occurred in the sky. It would have to be visible perfectly from the Czech Republic, but lot of clouds disturbed the sky show. However, there were some holes in the clouds over the Seč reservoir, so I was able to take this shot and also see the maximum eclipse. Even if the “eclipse-windows” took usually just a seconds and lot of patience to see more.

I managed to take this shot in a 5-second long view through of a hole in the clouds about 12 minutes before the maximum of the eclipse, in the time of full moon phase (0:32 UTC). Used Canon 6D, Skywatcher 90/1250, ISO 640, 3.2sec, Vixen GPD-2 mount.
