I was walking on Waihi beach (New Zealand) on 19th May 2014, waiting for the moonrise. Just dozens minutes before rose up stunning part of Milky way – the center. And then I realized, how sometimes people think they are alone in the Universe. But what if not? How many others are there, how many worlds? Would we be one day able to know? When? And then I remembered the amazing movie Contact with Jodie Foster from 1997, based on Carl Sagan’s book. Did you see it? If you did, you would definitely remember the quote: “The universe is a pretty big place. If it’s just us, seems like an awful waste of space.” And if we are not alone, this picture shows just a view from the edge of one world. Ours one… Used Canon 6D, Samyang 24 mm, f 4, ISO 4000, 52×15 s, darkframes applied, tripod.
